It seems to me like its getting a little blown out of proportion, but on the other hand he is trying to ruin someone else's name for him and his fathers sake. It all seems like a pointless argument for him to have even started over the internet, but now that he did he will have to face the consequences for his stupid actions.
Unfortunately this does seem to be plagiarism because it is not his work, but he did it for good reason so it'd be hard to charge him for anything. I agree that it is being blown out of proportion though. In my opinion, I wouldn't deal with this situation anymore and have everyone get on with their lives and worry about more important things.
i wouldn't necessarily think its a crime but the reason why i think its leaning more to the crime side is because by impercinating someone, you could get them hurt and then it would have bin a more serious matter. So in the end i'd say its a crime
i also think it is a crime. One can not just pretend to be someone else and try and make them look bad. I mean it does seem a little ridiculous that someone would go through all this trouble just to discredit someone over scrolls.
At first I thought this didn't sound very serious, but when you think about it, it is a crime (at least to me it is). In the case of the person acting like a 13 year old and causing the other teen to commit suicide, it's a very serious case. I feel like people nowadays use the internet as a cover or barrier to avoid confrontation. I'm sure that 55 year old adult that inadvertently caused the teen suicide wouldn't have went up the teen and said the things they did in person. Overall, the whole alias thing in my opinion is dumb. If a person realizes that they can't say something in their own identity, it probably means that it shouldn't be said at all by the person.
This is a crime to me. So many people use the internet as a place to try to be someone different but when it gets to the point of harassing another individual it's just wrong. If you can't say something to someone in person then it shouldn't be said. While the internet has brought some positive things with it, a great deal of negativity comes as well.
I agree with Tyler. This does seem to be plagiarized but he did it for good reason. There are many other obstacles in life that are worse than this and people should just move on.
