the debate changed 2 people from Disagree to Agree and 1 person from Agree to Disagree.
I am surprised that the group had such a "pro-teach" bias - I expected more controversy.

I think that people today, especially younger people, are much more open to learning about others' interests and the new interests of the world rather than shun them and try to stick to traditional ideas.

I agree with Olivia, I think young people are more open to learning every aspect of a subject, not just the traditional teachings. Our world is definitely a questioning one. People question everything and have a drive to learn more. Young people especially want to be individuals and draw conclusions for themselves. They will rebel if not given all information and be allowed to have their own unique opinion.

I stuck with the pro teach side of the debate. I think it is important to teach both sides without bias. I don't think that one side should be left out from teaching. It is important for students to decide what they believe in, and in order for that to happen, both sides should be taught. I also agree with Olivia about younger kids being more open to other ideas.

I feel as thought both sides of the debate had very strong opinions as to what they thought was wrong. Intelligent design is something that many students, I feel, should know.

Since we live in a world in which opinions are formed very quickly and society wants to know as much as possible, i think it is very important that both sides of the arguement are taught so that more than one opinion can be formed and society as a whole can be more informed

@ Orane,
I don't necessarily think that it was the fact that it was the presnetation as it was the audience. At this time in our lives we have already been through 12 years of schooling. For most we have already made our minds up about what we want to learn. I agree with Olivia, who mentioned that we are open to many aspects of the topics taught. I believe that every aspect shoudl be taught so our right to our own beliefs is respected.

Throughout the debate both sides were able to demonstrate their own thought of opinion. People only ask questions in order to learn more about a specific subject. Debates are a great way for people to express their opinions and convince others to accept them.
