  • I just took the quiz, and surprisingly got a 7/10. I personally am not a very religious person, because I still haven't done enough research to make an opinion on what I believe in. I think that all the different religions are interesting in the way they all have different "rules" to follow though. It's just not at the top of my interest level and I'm not really one to argue my point, so I usually shy away from learning about it all together. It's such a controversial topic!

  • I got an 8/10 on this quiz and I'm pretty sure I only scored that high because I went to Catholic school for 13 years and had religion forcefully stuffed down my throat.

  • I got a 9/10, which I believe comes from the fact that even though I'm Baptist Christian, religion in general fascinates me and I feel as though the only way to truly believe in something is to learn about all sides and then choose your side rather than merely blindly following the religion you grew up on.

  • My score was 6/10. While I understand concepts in the bible, what's allowed and what's not, and vocabulary; I really can't match people or places with religions.

  • i received a 6/10 on the quiz. I don't really think that this quiz has much to do with religious IQ. I don't have a problem with this quiz at all, but i know some people aren't familiar with much religion at all ,or are just familiar with their own. The ones that pertained to my own i did well on.

  • i got a 6/10 on the quiz. i went to catholic school for 13 years and only ever really learned about the catholic faith so the questions pertaining to catholicism i got correct but i didn't know much about the other religions in the quiz.

  • I got a 9/10 (Arg!). Despite this good score, I think the test is not as encompassing as it should be if it is trying to test for "religious IQ". There is another article concerning the same poll. Even though the link in this article leads to a longer quiz (14 questions, oh my! I got a 93% though) it still feels lacking to me. Perhaps there should be questions concerning differences in the ideologies of atheistic beliefs. How much would practicing agnostics know about this? Perhaps there should be more depth questions about the various sects of Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism. In general, there should be more questions. Finally, what does it matter that I know what religious back ground Mother Teresa was? Does that determine how Catholic I am? Does that make me a bad Christian? Or does it show that I am not as much of an educated person as I should be? This quiz studies more education level than it does religiosity, and, due to the number of questions in the quiz, it does that inaccurately.

  • I got an 8/10 which is a surprising score for me. I am the grandson of a preacher so it would have only made sense to do better, but I did not. Religion will always be second nature to me.

  • I got a 8/10. I think this is due to the fact that I love history and many aspects in history are related to the orgins and philosophies of religions. Although I do not claim to be a believer in any religion, I still find their underlining bases to be interesting, and comparision of religions and their leaders seem to be a benefit for anyone who likes to take religion into regards of how society frames ideas and concepts of livelyhoods.

  • I got an 8 out of 10, which I consider pretty great considering that I don't actually follow any particular religion and haven't had any religious teaching within at least the past 8 years. To be honest, I considered a lot of the questions to be just common sense.

  • i got a 5/10 on the quiz because i knew almost all of the catholic questions and some others that were talked about in class. I didn't, however, know very much about the jewish religion or people of indonesia.

  • I got a 7/10 on the quiz. For me it seemed fairly easy probably due to the fact that I've gone through years of religious education. I also knew the answers to some of the questions because I remembered learning about them in past history classes. I thought the article was interesting because I found it surprising that non-religious people tend to do better on the quiz than those who are religious.

  • I received an 8/10 on the quiz. I am a religious person but nothing hard core. I go to church every Sunday, but I still think that I should know more about my religion as well as others. There is too much intolerance in the world and a basic understanding of more then your own or just one religion is necessary to understand the people around you.

  • I would just like to say, that I think it's a little ridiculous that people couldn't answer the questions that were outside of their religion. I am not affiliated with any specific religion what so ever and I knew 9 out of 10 of the questions on this quiz (it says 8 out of 10, but that's because I accidentally submitted a wrong answer, HONESTLY!). I'm a little disappointed that everyone's minds seem shut out to religions and cultures that aren't their own.

  • This quiz dealt a lot with people and festivities, and therefore wasn’t really a very religions quiz in my eyes, because religion in this instance is supposed to deal with sacred matters and church itself. The items on this quiz were really more or less pop culture questions. Thus, I agree with Olivia in the fact that anyone should be able to answer these questions without considering their own religions.
